thank you from FINconceivable

Thank you for sharing and talking about FINconceivable! This has been such a fun experience watching my student film make waves across the internet. I have connected with so many excited people - educators, scientists, and enthusiasts alike! And many fantastic organizations have shared FINconceivable. I selected just a few to document some of the kind words said about my short film.

Special "thank you" to those who have been so considerate in sharing FINconceivable knowing that my film is, at it's core, art. Always remember to be courteous when you share content online, give credit where you can and never steal/modify content without permission.

Keep spreading the shark and ocean knowledge!
Education can open our minds, and art can inspire us to do great things!

Lets save sharks!

Edit: Subtitles and other things in the works! Thank you for your interest in making that happen!

FINconceivable Teaser

An Animated Documentary Short by Lily Williams
Summer 2014

Ever wonder what would happen to the ocean if sharks disappear? This is a question I tackle in my shark infographics "What Happens When Sharks Disappear?" but there is so much more, which is why I was inspired to create FINconceivable.

FINconceivable (Summer 2014) an animated short, appropriate for all ages, touches on issues of overfishing, shark finning and the trophic cascade! It inspires people to further educate themselves on the importance of keystone species in our ecosystems and explaining why our humble planet needs healthy oceans to thrive.

Thank you to Shark Stewards and Ocean Defender Hawaii for the support!

Follow here and my Twitter and Vimeo for updates on the film through its release online in early Summer 2014!

thesisizing

With second semester of my senior year in full swing, I felt it was finally time to announce my senior thesis film!

After the success of my shark infographics, I decided to make a short animated documentary on shark finning and the trophic cascade. Last semester was spent working on visuals and story and this semester will be spent animating/painting! I am looking forward to sharing my film in early summer. Keep checking back here, my tumblr and twitter for film updates!

Here are some finned friends you may see in my film!
