captivity kills

Captivity Kills
Free the Cetaceans

In response to Blackfish.
It was so powerful I needed to make some arts!
Is it not enough to be awed by something as well as respecting it?

Available for purchase on my Redbubble!

"In Between" - An Animation Art Show

Recently Bryn Fraker, Zoe McCartney and I had a senior art show in our school's galleries.
"In Between" featured work from junior year and visual development work from our currently in-production senior films (May 2014).

Monthly Breast Check

October is national Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

I wanted to make an infographic on breast exams - incredibly important to do monthly!

Available to purchase at my Redbubble.
Hang it in the bathroom or laminate it and hang it in the shower!

Disclaimer: This is not a substitute for going to the doctors, this is just a way to be self aware. Also don't do this to other people, that wouldn't be legal.

goðan dag

This is the story about a girl, who meets a dog.

This is a late upload of a trailer (for a short) I made junior year at CCA. I did the animatic 2012 fall semester, then designed the characters 2013 spring semester.

Inspired by a beach on the Snaefellsnes peninsula in Iceland during summer abroad.
All of the colors in the film are color dropped from my sketchbook paintings in Iceland.

Shark Week 2013

Its that time of the year again! Shark Week!

Shark week does a great job of highlighting how jawsome sharks are, but it doesn't emphasize the critical condition most shark species are in. For more information on sharks and the danger they are in, click all these fun links! Get involved and find ways to help out our finned friends!

Be sure to check out my other Shark Week Selfies: Shark Week 2011, Shark Week 2012

Red, White and Blue Shark

Today is July 1st 2013! Which means: Shark fins are banned in California! Thanks to many men and women, spearheaded by Shark Stewards.

Unfortunately there is a bill out there presented by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) that would implement provisions by the SCA that would nullify existing state legislature to ban shark fins by creating federal loop holes. You can comment on this rule here. Search: NOAA-NMFS-2012-0092

Here are some shark facts to make your commenting on NOAA easier!

Beach Respect #1236 - #1241

I saw some kids at the beach last week take home two live starfish... and I was more than a little upset so I decided to make some basic rules of the beach. Because.

Beach flags let beach goers know what is up at the beach and in the water.

The dangers of sand collapses are all to real for many. Support our friend Ryan and the Buchanan family, keep them in your prayers and thoughts.

I know it can just be sooo difficult to pick up your own trash... but trash gets washed into the ocean and affects the whole oceanic ecosystem. Don't litter! And feel free to pick up left overs from litterbugs (just don't pick up anything hazardous).
